Jalandhar: In the recently released list of Stanford University of the top 2 per cent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines, Dr Mehtab Singh, an alumnus of Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Ladhewali, has figured. Dr Singh has been included in the list of scientists, who have excelled in research in the field of optoelectronics and photonics and has secured 377th rank out of 1,08,280 researchers working in the same field. Dr Mehtab Singh did Doctor of Philosophy under the guidance of Prof Jyoteesh Malhotra, head, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Associate Dean (Academic Affairs) at Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Jalandhar. The list was created by Stanford experts on the basis of standardised citation indicators like information on citations, h-index, co-authorship, and a composite indicator last year. TNS
