During Phagwara visit, Sisodia hails state govt’s progress in education, governance

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab in-charge, Manish Sisodia, commended the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government for its transformative initiatives across education, governance, social welfare and industrial development over the past three and a half years.

Speaking at Vishwakarma Mandir in Phagwara, Sisodia highlighted the government’s achievements and reaffirmed Chief Minister Mann’s leadership for the upcoming 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

Sisodia emphasised that under the Mann government, the condition of government schools in Punjab has improved significantly, with upgraded infrastructure and teachers receiving advanced training abroad. He also noted the administration’s focus on good governance, transparency and citizen-centric policies, aiming to transform Punjab into a model state.

Addressing the state’s ongoing ‘Yudh Nasheya Virudh’ campaign, Sisodia expressed optimism about Punjab becoming a drug-free state, citing the government’s swift response to flood-affected families and the highest-ever compensation disbursed in the shortest possible time.

On industrial growth, Sisodia mentioned that the state is witnessing continuous development in its industrial sector, with large-scale projects expected to significantly boost employment and economic output.

Earlier, Sisodia visited Vishwakarma Mandir to pay his respects and received blessings. He was warmly welcomed by local leaders and honoured with a traditional siropa. Sisodia also praised the Vishwakarma Committee’s community initiatives, including free medical and eye check-up camps, a 24-hour hospital providing affordable treatment and support for education for underprivileged students.
