Dy Speaker opens Aam Aadmi Clinics

Deputy Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Jai Krishan Singh Rouri today inaugurated Aam Aadmi Clinics in Mahilpur under Paldi block, and Haibowal under Posi block.

Aam Aadmi Party constituency in-charge Harminder Singh Sandhu and Hoshiarpur Civil Surgeon Dr Pawan Kumar Shagotra were among those present at the event.

The Deputy Speaker, while addressing the gathering, said the state government was committed to providing high quality health facilities to the public through Aam Aadmi Clinics.

As many as 71 Aam Aadmi Clinics were opened earlier in various phases in Hoshiarpur district, and were providing health services to the people very smoothly, he added.

Under the sixth phase, two more clinics were being opened today to provide the best and free health services to the people of surrounding villages, he said, adding that, here, local residents could get free treatment as well as 38 types of testing facilities and 80 types of free medicines.

He instructed the medical staff appointed at one of the clinics to perform their duties with devotion and to adopt a friendly behaviour with the patients coming to the clinic.

The Civil Surgeon said OPD services, vaccination services, lab tests, maternal-child services, family planning services would also be available at Aam Aadmi Clinics, so that people can get high quality health facilities near their homes.
