In a brazen broad daylight incident, two motorcycle-borne assailants snatched the purse of an elderly woman walking near Central Town today, causing minor injuries and sparking concerns about public safety in the area.

Rajeev Prabhakar, the victim’s son, informed reporters that his mother Rama Rani was on her way to buy her medicines when the incident occurred just a short distance from her residence. "Two men on a motorcycle approached her, snatched her purse and sped away. In the struggle, my mother fell onto the road and sustained injuries," he said.

According to Prabhakar, the stolen purse contained approximately ₹4,000. He added that the family immediately informed the police, who have launched an investigation into the matter.

Police officials confirmed that they are reviewing CCTV footage from the area, which reportedly shows the assailants executing the snatching in public view. The authorities are working to identify and apprehend the suspects.
