Pushpa Gujral Science City celebrated Engineer’s Day by organising Robotics Championship for engineering and polytechnic students. The day is celebrated every year on September 15 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Vishveshvarya.

On this occasion, around 300 budding engineers from different institutions demonstrated their skills, creativity and teamwork in designing and operating robots. The main objective of the event was to enable students to showcase their innovation and technical prowess. In this championship, the first, second and third prizes were bagged by the teams of GNA University, Phagwara.

Speaking at the occasion, Ritesh Pathak, Scientist-D Science City, said on Engineer’s Day, they celebrate innovation, creativity and the boundless potential of technology. The championship was a testament to the spirit of engineering, where young minds came together to push the boundaries of possibilities, he added.

Dr Afzal Sikander, Assistant Professor, NIT-Jalandhar, evaluated the participants.
