Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal today chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors constituted under the Smart City mission.

Accompanied by Jalandhar Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gautam Jain, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to accelerate the pace of the projects to ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe. The projects, placed under review, include rejuvenation and beautification of Kala Sanghian drain, bioremediation, surface water project, installation of signboards, sports hub project, smart policing project and beautification of entry points of city.

DC Aggarwal reviewed the current status of the development projects and other works being carried out under the Smart City initiative. He highlighted that the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) project under the Smart City initiative was nearly complete and would be operational soon, aiding city surveillance and traffic management.
