On a call by the United Kisan Morcha, farmers gheraoed the office of Cabinet Minister Dr Ravjot Singh and staged a dharna.

Which is led by BKU. (Kadian) Pavitra Singh Dhugga, Satpal Singh Dadiana, Democratic Kisan Sabha Punjab Davinder Singh Kakkon, All India Kisan Sabha: Gurmesh Singh, BKU. (Ekta Ugrahan) Shingara Singh Makimpur and Rajinder Singh Azad.

Farmer leaders demanded that the Central Government should withdraw the draft of the National Agricultural Marketing Policy, the Punjab Government should negotiate with the governments of other states and create an environment for withdrawal of the draft of the policy, displacement of farmers should be stopped, compensation should be given as per the 2013 law on land acquisition for Bharat Mala and other projects and MSP should be given on basmati, maize, moong, peas, potato and cabbage crops along with displacement allowance.

On this occasion, the leaders strongly condemned the undemocratic methods adopted by the Chief Minister to stop the demonstration to be held in Chandigarh on March 5.
