Rai and Pandher announced that a bike rally would be held across Punjab on August 11 and a massive rally would be held in Kukkad village in Jalandhar Cantonment on August 20. The government has announced to roll out Urban Estate Phase-3 project in 1,000 acres of land to be acquired in Kukkad village and its periphery.

Farmers stated that they are continuously protesting against the government. They warned that if the government does not withdraw the policy, they might be forced to take a stricter stance in the days to come. Meanwhile, farmers said they would participate in a major mahapanchayat being organised in Jodhan, Ludhiana, on August 7.
