A road accident near Sang Dhesian village claimed the life of a five-year-old boy, who was the only brother of two sisters, leaving the local community in mourning.

According to reports, Saleek Ram, a resident of Dhanda village, was returning home for lunch with his son Anand. As they approached Sang Dhesian, a vehicle reportedly coming from the Goraya side struck their cart from behind.

Anand sustained critical injuries in the collision. Witnesses stated that he was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Ludhiana in the same vehicle involved in the accident. The child succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Family sources revealed that Anand was the youngest sibling and the only brother of his two sisters, compounding the family's grief.

The Goraya police have registered a case.
