The Garhshankar police claimed to have busted a sex racket with the arrest of 11 persons, including six women.

SHO Baljinder Singh Malli said Inspector Kuldeep Singh was present near Banga Chowk during patrolling last night. He got a tip-off that Rajeshwar Singh, alias Ricky, along with Manjeet Kaur, alias Rama, a resident of Mubarikpur, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, was running a sex racket at his house in Paisarian Mohalla.

Acting on the tip-off, Inspector Kuldeep, along with women police, raided the house. During the raid, he arrested 11 persons, including six women.

The police arrested kingpins Rajeshwar Singh, alias Ricky, a resident of Garhshankar, and Manjeet Kaur, alias Rama, a resident of Mubarikpur, SBS Nagar district. Other suspects have been identified as Sagar Muhammad, a resident of Garhshankar, Satinder Kumar, alias Sahil, a resident of Dansiwal, Saurabh Sharma, a resident of Motiyan, Chabbewal police station, Pawan Bali, alias Pamm, a resident of Mubarikpur, Nawanshahr, Sukhi, a resident of Satnaur, Rani, a resident of Garhshankar, Gurmeet Kaur, a resident of Garhshankar, Pooja, a resident of Garhshankar and Meenu, a resident of Garhshankar.

A case has been registered against the suspects under Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Trafficking Act.
