Food Safety team inspects jaggery shops in Phagwara

The inspection was carried out by Assistant Commissioner Dr Harjot Pal Singh and Food Safety Officer Mahik Saini, who checked several food establishments and collected five samples, including jaggery, cakes, refined flour and spices. These samples have been sent to the laboratory for analysis.
During the inspection, Dr Harjot Pal Singh instructed jaggery makers to ensure the production of high-quality jaggery and maintain proper hygiene and safety practices.
The team also addressed and resolved a consumer complaint received during the drive. The Food Safety Department stated that such inspections will continue to ensure that adulteration is prevented and consumers receive safe and quality food products.
