Four arrested for murder, firing near Nakodar gym

The accused and their accomplices had shot dead Jugraj, a resident of Mehmuwal Yusafpur village in Shahkot, during a fight between two groups.
SHO said the accused has been identified as Rafal, alias Manni, a resident of Khunkhun village in Jalandhar, Balraj Singh, alias Raj Aujla, a resident of Jahangir village, Novdeep Singh of Talwandi Bharo village.
Kavita, wife of the deceased, had complained to the police that she had been living with her husband for the last two years at Total Fitness Gym, Mehatpur Road, Nakodar, where her husband was working as a cleaner and looking after other work.
She had said in her complaint that there is a car service station in the Gym complexes and Gopi of Mahunwal village and Harwinder of Raipur village are running a service station.
Kavita had said in her statement that she, along with her family, was in the house on June 18 when they heard firing outside and her husband hurriedly went to the main gate and she followed.
She said Harwindar Ladoo, Kamal and Gopi and their eight accompanies came out of vehicles firing from their weapons, and from the other side, 12 accused started firing.
Kavita said one gunshot pierced her husband, killing him, adding that both sides used to visit the gym in connection with some disputes.
SHO said a case under sections 103 (murder), 191(3) (rioting being armed with deadly weapons), 190 (unlawful assembly) of the BNS and sections 25/27/54/59 /of the Arms Act was registered against the accused and 16 others.
