‘State govt stands with affected residents’

Continuing the series of free medical camps being set up in flood-affected villages, a camp was organised in Barampur village by Phagwara Improvement Trust Chairman and Aam Aadmi Party SC Wing Doaba Zone In-charge, Jarnail Nangal, along with his associates.

Sharing details, Nangal said due to heavy rainfall, many villages, including Barampur, in the region remained waterlogged for several days. As the water receded, residents have begun facing multiple health issues, prompting the need for such medical camps.

“These camps are being organised in every village that suffered from prolonged waterlogging to prevent the outbreak of diseases,” Nangal said. He assured the residents that the state government stands firmly with the residents in this difficult time.

Dr Amarjit Abadi, Dr Ramesh Kumar, Barampur Sarpanch Harbans Kaur, Vijay Kumar Pandori (Sarpanch), among others were present on the occasion.
