The district administration has decided to offer free online coaching to the promising and deserving girl students for preparing them to clear the competitive exams under the ‘Beti Padhao,Beti Bachao’ campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said the administration would provide coaching to the girls above 18 years of age for various competitive exams, including IAS, PCS, SSC, and probationary officers in banking sector and various government jobs examinations virtually.

He said the applications can be emailed on dpojalandhar@punjab.gov.in by August 30. He said aspirants can contact DPO office 0181-2253285 for further information.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
