Jalandhar, March 9

Flaying state and Central governments for fuel price hike, the SAD leaders on Monday held a constituency-level protests.

Akali leader Kamaljeet Bhatia was the most creative in his protests held in Jalandhar Central Constituency. He came with his supporters carrying the effigy of Punjab CM on his shoulders and burnt it. He then got himself clicked by playing flute in front of a donkey.

In Jalandhar Cantt, ex-MLA Sarabjit Makkar organised a protest where he blamed both the governments for burdening the consumers by continuing with their ongoing tax collections on petrol, diesel and LPG. He also blamed the state government on dithering over the promise made to farmers on complete waiver of farm loans for those with less than five acres of agricultural land.
