To facilitate residents of the district for getting curfew passes in case of any emergency, the state government has started online curfew pass service through which they can apply online for the same.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said residents could apply for the passes by simply logging on https://epasscovid19.pais.net.in.
He said they could upload their details, along with the valid reason, to move out during the curfew after which the passes would be issued to them. They can take the printout of the same after issuance.
Sharma said this would be a relief for residents as it would help them in getting curfew passes on a single click.
The Deputy Commissioner said officers of the district administration had been assigned as approving authority for these online requests in the district.
He said Sub Divisional Magistrates Amit Kumar, Rahul Sindhu, Dr Jai Inder Singh, Dr Sanjiv Sharma and Dr Vineet Kumar would be the assigning authorities for areas that were under their jurisdiction.
He added that Executive Magistrate Randeep Singh Gill, District Food and Supplies Controller Narinder Singh, Zonal Licensing Authority Lakhwant Singh, District Mandi Officer Davinder Singh, Milkfed GM Rupinder Singh and PUNSUP District Manager Janak Raj would also be the assigning authorities.
