Gurpreet Kaur of Government Senior Secondary School, Naru Nangal, brought laurels to the school by winning the bronze medal in boxing in the 68th Punjab School Games held recently in Zira. She won the bronze medal in the 52-54 kg weight category in boxing through an excellent performance. Gurpreet was felicitated by principal Shailendra Thakur, staff members, SMC committee and sports in-charge Surjeet Singh.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
