Victim Munish had been hit by a bullet on July 12 and died in a hospital after fighting for his life for 22 days. His parents, relatives and friends staged a protest against the General Railway Police, alleging inaction in the case. After his death yesterday too, they had held a protest outside the railway station.

His father Vishal said Munish had been framed in a case and he had been out on bail just a few days ago when he was shot. One of the accused in the case Mankaran has been arrested. The family alleged that a Congress leader was trying to give patronage to other accused. However, DCC chief Rajinder Beri denied the allegations of involvement of any Congress leader in the case. The protesters were made to remove the blockade by a GRP team that assured justice to the family.
