HDCA Secretary Dr Raman Ghai said Surabhi, a Class XI student of Woodland Overseas School, had earlier represented Punjab in the Under-23 category and is currently participating in the national U-19 T20 tournament organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at Aurangabad, Maharashtra, from October 26 to November 1.

Adding to her list of accomplishments, Surabhi has represented Punjab in several inter-zonal tournaments, earning recognition for her exceptional fielding and match-winning partnerships. Known for her calm leadership, sharp game awareness and inspiring sportsmanship, she continues to motivate young girls across rural Punjab to pursue cricket and break conventional barriers.

Surabhi’s cricketing journey has been marked by consistent performances, having been a regular member of Punjab teams for the past four years across U-15, U-19 and U-23 categories. In February 2025, she was selected for the Punjab U-23 team, a moment that brought excitement to Hoshiarpur. The following month, in March 2025, she was felicitated by the HDCA for her key role in helping Punjab qualify for the knockout stages of both the U-19 T20 and one-day tournaments.
