In a T-20 match under the HDCA T-20 Championship Session-1, held at Railway Mandi Cricket Ground, Hoshiarpur DCA defeated Cambridge-11 by 33 runs, thanks to the stellar bowling performance of captain Kuldeep Dhami and the commendable batting contributions of Karmveer Singh and Harman.

Providing details about the match, Satpreet Singh Sabi said Hoshiarpur DCA won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a challenging total of 197 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Karmveer led the charge with an impressive 55 runs, followed by Harman with 43 runs. Harsh and Chauhan added 26 runs each to strengthen the innings. For Cambridge-11, Prithvi shone with the ball, taking three wickets, while Snehal Sood and Karan Chawla picked up two and one wickets, respectively.

Chasing the target of 198, Cambridge-11 fell short, managing 164 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Amit top-scored with 43 runs, while Harvinder contributed 26 runs. Hoshiarpur DCA’s captain Kuldeep Dhami delivered an extraordinary performance, claiming five wickets for just 22 runs in his four-over spell. Harley Vashisht supported him well with two wickets and Karmveer chipped in with one wicket.

Kuldeep Dhami’s exceptional bowling earned him the Man of the Match award. HDCA secretary Dr Raman Ghai congratulated the team for their victory and encouraged them to continue their excellent performances in the upcoming matches.
