Hoshiarpur reports 2 deaths, 14 cases

The district reported two more Covid-19 fatalities on Tuesday, taking the toll to 964, while 14 new cases pushed the infection tally to 30,435. The health authorities said the number of active cases is 165, while the number of patients who have recovered stands at 29,306. On Tuesday, 12 positive patients belonged to Hoshiarpur district, while two were from other districts.

The total number of samples of Covid-19 taken in the district till date is 6,59,035, of which, 6,28,791 were negative, while 2,802 reports were still awaited and 826 samples were invalid. Among the dead were a 62-year-old Mustapur village resident, who died at a private hospital in Hoshiarpur; and a 56-year-old Argowal village resident, who died at home. OC
