Hoshiarpur villages to get 23 new roads under Rs 6.5 crore project: MLA Jimpa

Development works are gaining momentum in the Hoshiarpur Assembly constituency under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, said MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa at a press conference held at the Public Works Department Rest House here today.

Jimpa announced that 23 rural roads, covering a total length of 38 kilometres, will be constructed at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore, improving rural connectivity in the constituency.

“These road projects had been pending since 2015-16 and were ignored by successive governments. Our government is committed to completing every long-pending development work without any delay. Now, development will not stop,” he said.

The MLA shared details of key roads included in the project, such as Hoshiarpur–Una Road (Nara to Dallewal Tharoli), Hoshiarpur–Bahadur Road to Bassi Ghulam Hussain, Bassi Purani to MC Limit, Adampur to Bahadurpur–Bassi Ghulam Hussain Link Road, Shergarh Purhira to Dholanwal, Hoshiarpur Bypass Phase-1 to Bajwara, Dallewal-Tharoli to Patyadian via High School, Bassi Daud Khan to Naru Nangal Purana, Shergarh to Chawni Kalan, Hoshiarpur–Una Road to Chak Sadhu–Kharkan Base Camp and several others connecting nearly all major villages in the constituency.

Jimpa stated that completing these roads will ease traffic congestion and promote economic activity in rural areas. He assured the public that the work will be carried out with top quality standards and that no negligence will be tolerated.

Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, he added, “Under the Mann government, Punjab’s infrastructure development is reaching new heights. Along with urban progress, rural development is being given equal importance.”

He further stated that more development projects will soon be launched in Hoshiarpur, taking the constituency further on the path of progress and prosperity.
