Acting on the health advisory issued by the state, the Civil Hospital has postponed all elective eye surgeries till April 15.

Dr Arun Verma said amidst the Covid epidemic, all eye camps had already been cancelled as per orders of Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinder Chawla till further orders. Dr Gurpreet Kaur sensitised patients about coronavirus and suggested them to avoid visits to hospitals for routine checkups and consult doctors on phone. An ophthalmologist from eye mobile unit requested public to avoid coming to hospital. Dr Chawla emphasised on importance of inter-sectoral coordination. — OC
