Three illegal farmhouses have come under the scanner of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. According to sources, the building department team of inspectors Varinder Kaur, Kamal Bhan and Honey Thapar has acted against the illegal farmhouses in the city.

The team had sent a notice to the farmhouse at Alipur and today its owner deposited Rs 11,74,661 with the civic body.

The officials said the owners of the other two illegal farmhouse would also pay penalties, amounting to Rs 35 lakh, within the week.
