Jagdeep Kumar, a resident of Goraya, has been actively meeting officials and leaders to trace his missing brother Mandeep Kumar, who is believed to be stuck in Russia.

In a recent development, Jagdeep met MDMK MP Durai Vaiko to raise the issue of Indians who have gone missing or are stranded in Russia under uncertain circumstances.

“MP Vaiko was very supportive. He even took up the matter with the Prime Minister and has been consistently helping us,” Jagdeep said.

Jagdeep has been relentless in his efforts. He has already travelled to Russia in search of his brother and has been in continuous communication with the Indian authorities to seek updates and push for action.

In addition to meeting MP Vaiko, Jagdeep also recently met senior Congress leader Raja Warring, who extended his support. Warring held a press conference to bring attention to the issue, amplifying Jagdeep’s voice.

On Thursday, Jagdeep will again be going to New Delhi to meet officials from the Ministry of External Affairs. "This is going to be my eighth meeting with them. I am sure I will get some information."

Earlier, while talking to The Tribune, he had said he couldn't even explain what the family was going through. "Every time I go home, they look at me with a hope that I will give them good news,” Jagdeep had earlier said, adding that Mandeep had initially gone to Armenia in search of work, where he got in touch with a travel agent, who promised to send him to Italy.
