Jail inmate flees from Kapurthala Civil Hospital, arrested again

The accused went to a religious place in Himachal Pradesh and after spending all his money there, came back to Kapurthala

An undertrial facing more than five criminal cases, who fled after pushing the jail staff at the Kapurthala Civil Hospital four days ago, was today arrested by the police. His arrest was confirmed by SSP Gaurav Toora.

The accused was identified as Gurpreet Singh of Kartarpur. The police said the jail staff had brought four inmates for medical examination from where the accused fled with his handcuffs. The police said the accused went to a religious place in Himachal Pradesh and after spending all his money there, came back to Kapurthala where he was arrested. A case has been registered in this regard.
