As many as 76 dengue cases have been reported from the district so far.

The district saw a spike in dengue cases since September with 26 fresh cases. While 23 dengue cases have been reported this month so far, there were 16 cases in the month of August.

Meanwhile, the district also witnessed 19 chikungunya cases this year.

To keep the spread of dengue at bay, 75 health and larvae breeding teams have also been deployed since July.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
