The Jalandhar rural police have apprehended a notorious snatcher who was involved in a series of thefts. The police said the suspect, Ajay Kumar of Kahluwar village, was arrested during a raid by officials at the Bhogpur police station.

Senior Superintendent of Police Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh said the operation was executed under the supervision of DSP Adampur Sumit Sood, following a tip. He said the team, led by SHO Sikander Singh, nabbed the suspect and recovered significant evidence linked to his criminal activities.

The SSP said the team recovered a scooter used in the crimes, a smartwatch worth Rs 25,000, five high-end mobile phones, a wallet containing cash and a data card, which were suspected to be associated with illegal activities.
