With 15 criminal cases registered against him, Amritpal Singh posed a significant threat to public safety. His involvement in drug smuggling, cross-firing incidents, and other violent crimes had made him a proclaimed offender (PO) in five cases.

SSP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh stated that Amritpal Singh’s arrest is a significant achievement in dismantling organised crime and eliminating drug trafficking networks in the district. The accused is currently under police remand, and interrogation is ongoing to uncover his associates and dismantle the broader criminal network linked to him.
