Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, has commenced the production of coaches to be exported to Bangladesh Railway. The initiative forms part of a 200-coach export order, under which the RCF will manufacture 20 coaches in the current year.

operational and passenger requirements of Bangladesh Railway.

The production of the first coach shell was ceremonially inaugurated on Saturday by Manohar Lal, the senior-most employee of the shell assembly shop. Senior officials and employees were present during the inauguration, reflecting the pride and enthusiasm of the workforce.

RCF has a proven track record of delivering high-quality rolling stock to Bangladesh Railway.

In 2016–17, the factory manufactured and supplied 120 LHB coaches, custom-engineered to suit the specific requirements of Bangladesh’s rail network.
