Dr Harjot Pal Singh stated that the khoya was packed in large polyethylene bags, each weighing approximately 25 kilograms. A sample was collected for laboratory testing and the remaining stock was destroyed on-site to eliminate any potential health hazards to the public.
Officials emphasised that the operation reflects the state government’s firm commitment to ensuring food safety and preventing the distribution of substandard or unverified food products. Authorities have assured strict action against violators and heightened surveillance at checkpoints across the district.
