Sainik School, Kapurthala, has organised a tree plantation programme, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, under the leadership of Principal Group Captain Madhu Sengar.

It was attended by distinguished guests, including Air Commodore S Jacob, Major General Anupam Aggarwal, and Lieutenant General Ajay Chandpuria. Their participation, along with the involvement of parents, underscored the importance of the green initiative.

During the event, participants dedicated each sapling they planted to their mothers, vowing to nurture these saplings till they become trees. The ceremony also featured Wing Commander Deepika Rawat and Lieutenant Colonel JBS Beg, highlighting the school’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

The drive saw the introduction of hundreds of saplings, including neem, mango, gulmohar, peepal, and karanj trees. These species were selected to enrich biodiversity.
