Hoshiarpur news: Leaders give murdered child's kin financial aid

The MP, accompanied by the former minister Joginder Singh Mann, visited the family of the deceased and handed over the cheque to them. Condoling the death of the child, he assured his family members of justice.
The MP said the state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is with the bereaved family. He assured the family members that exemplary punishment will be ensured to the perpetrator of this heinous crime.
Meanwhile, Bholath MLA Sukhpal Khaira, addressing a gathering at the victim’s home, criticised the government, alleging that law and order in Punjab had collapsed. He argued that several states have introduced rules restricting migrants from purchasing land or registering voter cards and insisted that Punjab should also implement such policies to regulate outsiders. He charged that the tragic killing could have been avoided had there been a proper verification mechanism for migrants. As mark of solidarity, he handed over an envelope of financial assistance to the victim’s father.
Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Daljeet Singh Cheema, who visited the victim’s house and interacted with the media, alleged that criminals were roaming without fear in Punjab due to the failure of the state government. He said the AAP regime had failed to enforce law and order, leading to rising insecurity among people. Cheema demanded the introduction of a strict verification policy for outsiders residing in Punjab. He too gave ₹50,000 to the victim’s father.
Tarsem Singh, father of jailed separatist leader Amritpal Singh, also paid a visit to the grieving family. He described the incident as shameful and accused the AAP government of completely failing to control crime and drugs in Punjab.
