The action has been taken under the provisions of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act, 2012, due to violations and failure to comply with mandatory procedures.
According to official order, the centres failed to renew their licences after expiry and did not submit the required documentation within the stipulated period. Despite being issued show-cause notices, the firms allegedly neither responded, nor fulfilled compliance. Upon receiving verification reports from the authorities, their licences were officially cancelled.
Verma emphasised that the licence holders will be held fully responsible for any complaints or legal issues related to their firms. He added that applications for licence renewal must be submitted at least two months prior to the expiry along with necessary documents — a requirement these firms failed to meet.
The firms whose licences were cancelled include Global Dream Immigration, Smart Guidance Education Consultancy, Sainik Academy, Maitrava Immigration, Flyway Immigration Consultancy, Millennium IELTS Centre, PCS Global Visa Services, A&J IELTS Coaching Centre, Unique Education Abroad, Victory Dream Coaching Centre, EasyWay Migration Consultancy, Achievers School of Education, IELTS with Harpreet, and FastTrack EduCare Student Services.
The district administration has reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency and legality in the operations of education and travel consultancies.
