In view of the panchayat elections, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal had issued various restrictive orders. These included dry day on October 15. Despite the declaration of dry day today, the sale of liquor was on at a liquor vend in Adda Chauhal located on the Hoshiarpur-Chintpurni road.
