A middle-aged man was run over by a train near Phagwara railway station on Friday night. The Government Railway Police said the deceased was identified as Lovepreet of Baba Gadhia locality, Phagwara. The body of the deceased was handed over to his family after post-mortem examination.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
