A father-son duo from Chahar Bagh locality in the city have been booked in two cases by the NRI police station here for allegedly committing forgery and usurping properties of two NRIs — one based in the US and the other in the UK. While the first case was lodged against them on July 1, the second one was lodged on July 3.

Vikas Sharma and his son Kartik Sharma were booked for trying to grab the property of Inderjit Kaur (75) at Pholariwal here by forging financial receipts and even got ex-parte decree from court in their favour. The two, along with Kartik’s brother Vansh Sharma, Shalinder Syal and Tarwinder Singh, were booked after a complaint by Paramjit Singh Takhar (80) of the UK, who alleged that the accused did not execute a sale deed and instead forged it.
