Masked armed youths entered Riyat Mega Mart in Dallewal village on Friday, attacked the shopkeeper with sharp weapons and robbed him of Rs 7,500. The shopkeeper and his grandson fought the attackers, forcing them to flee.

The shop owners said they have lodged a complaint in this regard at the Binewal police station.

The police said the entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras.

The police officials said that they reviewed the footage and said it showed the robbers touch the feet of a person on the road before entering the Mega Mart and after he leaves, they enter the Mega Mart and first take out money from the cash box and when the owner of Mega Mart Baldev Raj and his grandson come running, they attack them.
