91st monthly ration distribution programme organised by Human Rights Council state Secretary Gurdip Kang was organised at Central Town, Phagwara, with the support of Baba Balak Nath Sewa Samiti here today.

The event was inaugurated by Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr Akshita Gupta IAS, who attended as the chief guest.

Lion Davinderpal Arora, Multiple Chairman 321-D (Food for Hunger), joined as the special guest. Several dignitaries including Baba Balak Nath Sewa Samiti patrons Dharampal Nishchal and SP Basra, Shiv Shakti Mata Mandir Committee President Chanchal Seth, retired principal KK Sharma, Shiv Sena Akhand Bharat National President Ajay Mehta, and Punjab Pradesh Religious Committee President Manish Kanojia were prominently present at the occasion.

Dr Gupta distributed ration kits to 20 underprivileged families and praised the humanitarian efforts of Lion Gurdeep Singh Kang, calling his service noble and inspiring. Lion Davinderpal Arora also lauded Kang’s ongoing social contributions, stating that providing monthly ration to needy families is a commendable initiative. He added that Kang’s consistent service has enhanced the reputation of Lions International 321-D in Phagwara.

SP Basra emphasised that it is the responsibility of financially able individuals to extend support to those struggling with economic hardship, illness, or age-related challenges. Speaking on the occasion, Lion Gurdeep Singh Kang shared that the ration distribution program is organized every month with consistent support from Baba Balak Nath Sewa Samiti and NRI Rana Kulthamia. Both Dr Akshita Gupta and Lion Davinderpal Arora were honoured with commemorative mementos during the event. Stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Lion Sushil Sharma. The programme was attended by Lions Club Phagwara Champion President Lion Sanjeev Suri, Secretary Lion Dinesh Kharbanda, Treasurer Lion Ajay Kumar, PRO Lion Shashi Kalia, along with social workers VP Singh Arora.
