MC notice to plot owner for garbage dumping

Acting on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, and the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, the health branch of the corporation has initiated action against illegal garbage dumping on a vacant plot.

Sanitary inspector Vikrant Sidhu issued a notice to the owner of a plot situated near Ardass Driving School along the Doaba Chowk-Pathankot Chowk road. During a site inspection, the dumping of waste was observed, which constitutes a clear violation of the Solid Waste Management Rules and Municipal Bylaws.

The plot owner has been directed to clear the waste immediately and take measures to prevent further illegal dumping. The failure to comply with will result in strict legal action under the provisions of the Municipal Corporation Act.

The Municipal Corporation has appealed to all residents and property owners to maintain cleanliness in and around their premises and strictly avoid illegal dumping of waste. Public cooperation is essential in ensuring a cleaner, healthier Jalandhar, officials said.
