Acting on a tip-off, a police team apprehended a suspect attempting to steal a motorcycle outside Pal Hospital near Unity Critical Care Multi-Specialty Hospital in Pratap Bagh. The suspect, identified as Baljit Singh, a resident of village Gaddai in Tarn Taran, was arrested following the statement of Dharminder Kumar, a local resident.

An FIR was registered in this connection under relevant sections of the BNS at Police Station Division Number 3. During interrogation, Baljit Singh confessed to stealing multiple motorcycles, leading the police to recover three more motorcycles hidden in bushes near Danamandi Bhangala, Tarn Taran. Another motorcycle, without a number plate, was found in the parking lot near the Railway Station, Jalandhar.

CP Sharma revealed that Baljit Singh has five pending cases against him in various districts, including Amritsar, Moga, Kapurthala and Tarn Taran.
