Round Glass Mithapur triumphed 3-0 over Round Glass Nikke Ghuman to win the 3rd Round Glass Inter Development Centre Hockey Tournament (Under 16 boys) at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium. Olympians Colonel Balbir Singh, Gurmail Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajinder Singh Junior, along with Dronacharya Award winner Baldev Singh and Daljit Singh Dhillon, presented the prizes. Mithapur was awarded Rs 1 lakh along with the trophy, while Nikke Ghuman received Rs 50,000 as runners-up and the third-placed team took home Rs 25,000.

Manvir Singh of Round Glass Chachradi was named the best player of the tournament, earning Rs 11,000 and a bicycle. Other individual awards included Vishal (best goalkeeper), Navpreet Mahey (best full back), Gursewak Singh (best midfielder) and Sukhpreet Singh (best forward), each receiving Rs 5,000 and a bicycle. Coach Balwinder Singh of Mithapur was honoured as the best coach with a cash prize of Rs 11,000. — TNS
