Chabbewal pointed out that the road connects various districts of Punjab, leading to the neighbouring states. He stated that this vital road connectivity was having heavy volume of vehicular traffic while the existing road structure had become congested, causing traffic problems for commuters. He told the Union Minister that the widening of this road would not only ensure the safe mobility but also give a boost to trade, industries and tourism activities in the region.
