MP Mittal launches entrepreneurship initiative for students

Rajya Sabha MP Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal has announced a Rs 25 lakh entrepreneurship competition for students of ASISC-affiliated schools. He unveiled the initiative at the 68th Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC) Conference attended by more than 1,800 principals and senior educators.

The competition will award Rs 5 lakh and structured mentorship to each of the top five student teams. Emphasising the growing importance of innovation in education, Dr Mittal said entrepreneurship “is a mindset, not a profession,” and urged schools to cultivate confidence and curiosity in classrooms.

He also announced the launch of a free Entrepreneurial Skills Builder App created by Masters’ Union in collaboration with Tetr College of Business and VP Outgrow.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
