The 7th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted a mock drill at Vardhman Yarns and Threads Ltd in collaboration with the district administration. Teams from departments including the NDRF, SDRF, police, fire brigade, health (Ambulance service) and Deputy Director Factories were deployed. A mock drill related to gas leakage was organised in the factory.

Giving the information, Assistant Commandant, NDRF, Dugar Lal Jakhar and Inspector Amar Pratap Singh said that before the mock drill, orientation and coordination-cum-table top exercise was carried out with the departments. He said that the CRBN (Chemical, Radiological, Biological and Nuclear) mock drill has been organised to promote awareness and coordination, especially in the context of industrial security. He said that the main objective of the exercise was to strengthen coordination between various government and industrial departments, promote their preparedness to deal with emergency situations and make the public aware of potential dangers. He thanked the district administration and Vardhman Yarns and Threads Ltd for the exercise.
