After the death of a person in Australia, his dead body was brought to crematorium on Hariana Road in Hoshiarpur for the last rites here on Thursday. During the ceremony, his family members saw cut marks on the body and immediately informed the Model Town police. They alleged that their son was allegedly murdered by his wife.

Giving information, deceased Davinder Kumar’s brother-in-law Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Hoshiarpur, and friend Sandeep Saini said Davinder Kumar had gone to Australia two years ago.

They said Davinder often quarrelled with his wife and in-laws. Rakesh Kumar said a few days ago, he had told everything about it to him. After that he got a call that he had committed suicide. The Model Town police took the body into custody and sent it to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem.
