An award ceremony was organised today to honour the administrative officers and employees of Hoshiarpur district for the excellent services rendered by them during the recent tense situation and war-like atmosphere created on the country’s border.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain and SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik honoured officers and employees from various departments of the district who displayed exemplary service spirit and patriotism during the time of crisis.

Addressing the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner said that when the tension on the border increased and the situation became serious, the officers and employees of the district administration performed their duties with full dedication, without caring for their lives. She added that the kind of patience, courage and vigilance shown in such circumstances is praiseworthy and that these dedicated officers are the backbone of the administration.

She informed that the administrative network was activated up to the sub-division, cluster, village and ward levels in the district and special disaster management committees were formed so that the necessary services could be made available to the people immediately in case of any emergency.

She said it is a matter of pride that the district’s officers are always ready for every challenge and perform their duties with full devotion. The Deputy Commissioner also wished all the officers continued enthusiasm, dedication, and awareness in their future duties.

During the felicitation ceremony, the honoured officers and employees expressed their gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, stating that due to her able leadership and positive energy, the crisis situation in the entire district could be handled in a well-organized manner. They said that this honour will inspire them to perform even better in the future and that this moment will always remain etched in their memories.
