Viki, a resident of Kang Khurd village, had complained to the police that he and his brothers Ranjit Singh and Suraj Singh were going to Lohian Khas on motorcycles on August 18 afternoon when the suspect and his five accomplices waylaid his brothers near Nawan Pind Khalewal and attacked and seriously injured them with an intention to kill them.

He said the suspects tried to attack him too, but he somehow escaped. The IO said a case under revelant sections of the BNS was registered against the suspects. He said raids were on to nab suspects who were on the run.
