The Jalandhar Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) inaugurated the CA students' mega conference — Yugantar 2025 at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara.

More than 300 CA students from across the region attended the event. The opening day combined powerful leadership insights, technical learning and cultural vibrance. The day began with the inaugural ceremony followed by an electrifying morning leadership panel comprising CA Nitesh Kumar Jain, IAS, CA Vivek Kumar Modi, IAS, and Dr Akshita Gupta, IAS, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Phagwara. Their journeys from challenging beginnings to positions of high responsibility inspired students to dream fearlessly.

A major highlight of day one was the special address by CA Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, Commissioner CGST Jalandhar, who delivered a deeply motivational and high-impact session. Drawing from his distinguished professional journey, he encouraged students to embrace discipline, curiosity and continuous learning.

The day further elevated when the President of ICAI, CA Charanjot Singh Nanda reached the venue to bless and motivated the students. CA Puneet Oberoi, Chairman of the Jalandhar Branch, encouraged students with his message: "There is a difference between qualification and education. Qualification gives you a degree, but education gives you the ability to lead, transform and build your future."
