The School of Eminence, Phagwara, has once again brought pride to the district with outstanding performances at the 69th State Level School Games Boxing Championship held at Multipurpose School, Patiala. Under the guidance of District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Harjinder Singh and Deputy District Education Officer Rajesh Kumar, the school continues to excel in the field of sports.

The leadership of district manager (Sports) Shri Sukhwinder Singh and the constant support of the principal, Ranjit Kumar Gogna have played a crucial role in nurturing sporting talent among the students.

On Saturday, two female students from the school, Bharati and Jaina, demonstrated exceptional skill and determination in their respective categories. Bharati secured the silver medal in the Under-17, 40 kg weight category, while Jaina earned the bronze medal in the Under-75 to 80 kg category. Their achievements highlight both their individual excellence and bring immense pride to the Kapurthala district and the city of Phagwara.

Expressing his delight at the accomplishment, the principal, Ranjit Kumar Gogna, extended congratulations to both the medal winners and their mentors. He attributed their success to the dedication and hard work of the sports department’s coaches and staff, including team in-charge Manohar Singh, team manager Des Raj and boxing coaches Prince and Atul Aryan. Principal Gogna praised their consistent efforts in shaping young athletes and inspiring them to perform at their best.

He added such achievements not only enhance the school’s reputation in academics and co-curricular activities but also motivate other students to actively participate in sports and strive for excellence. All the teachers of the School of Eminence, Phagwara, gathered to celebrate the success and extend their best wishes to the victorious players for their future endeavours.
